Abstract:
In order to study the influence of the advancing speed of the steeply inclined thin coal face on the activities of roof strata, based on the occurrence condition and mining situation of No.99 coal seam in Xintie coal mine, FLAC
3D simulation software is used to simulate the vertical stress field and displacement field of the roof at different propulsion speeds. And the roof activity is analyze under different advancing speeds. The results show that the advancing speed of the working face has a significant influence on the stress distribution and subsidence of roof strata. The working face advancing speed increasing from 2.4 m/d to 4.8 m/d, the vertical stress of the roof wall is reduced from 13.95 MPa to 12.38 MPa at the working face, which is reduced by 12.68%.The vertical stress of the roof wall in front of 15 m decreased from 19.02 MPa to 17.51 MPa, which is 8.62% lower than 2.4m/d.The maximum sinking amount of the roof is reduced from 0.93 m to 0.50 m.With the advancing speed increased suitably in steeply inclined thin coal seam, the vertical stress and the sinking amount of the roof are both lowered, which is beneficial to the stability of the roof.
