    Research methods and applicability of natural fractures in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs

    • 摘要: 非常规油气储层天然裂缝发育控制因素复杂,增加了裂缝研究的难度。针对这个问题,开展了天然裂缝的研究方法及其适用性的研究。结果表明:目前对天然裂缝的研究主要集中在裂缝的精细表征、识别和预测三个方面,其中裂缝识别和预测是难点。裂缝识别主要采用地震和测井两种方法,地震方法受精度限制主要适用于断裂构造发育相关的天然裂缝识别,需结合其他方法综合识别;成像测井和核磁测井能够直接识别裂缝,其他几种常规测井方法对微小裂缝响应微弱,也需要结合其他手段辅助识别。裂缝预测方法主要包括地质方法、地球物理方法、数值模拟方法及综合预测方法。地质方法能实现裂缝的定性预测;地球物理方法能反映大尺度裂缝分布规律;数值模拟法能半定量-定量预测裂缝分布规律,但预测结果受模型和算法选择影响较大;综合预测方法是裂缝预测方法的主要发展趋势,它将多种预测方法相结合,预测效果较好。研究成果为非常规储层天然裂缝研究提供了重要参考。

       

      Abstract: The factors controlling of natural fractures development in unconventional reservoirs are complex, which increases the difficulty of fracture research.Aiming at this problem, the research methods and applicability of natural fractures are mainly investigated.The results show that the research on natural fractures mainly focuses on the three aspects of fine characterization, identification and prediction of fractures, and it is difficult to identify and predict fractures.The fracture identification mainly uses seismic and logging.The limited accuracy of seismic methods is mainly applicable to the identification fractures related to the development of fault structures.It needs to be combined with other methods for comprehensive identification.Imaging logging and nuclear magnetic logging can directly identify fractures, while the other several conventional logging micro of methods have weak responses to small fractures, and need to be combined with other methods to assist in identification.The fracture prediction methods mainly include geological methods, geophysical methods, numerical simulation methods and comprehensive prediction methods.Geological methods can achieve qualitative prediction of fractures, and geophysical methods can reflect large-scale fracture distribution laws.Numerical simulation methods can semi-quantitatively-quantitatively predict fracture distribution laws, and prediction results are greatly affected by the choice of models and algorithms.Comprehensive prediction method is the main development trend of fracture prediction method, it combines multiple prediction methods and has a good prediction effect.The research results provide important references for the study of natural fractures in unconventional reservoirs.
