Abstract:
The abundant coal-measure source rocks in the Jiaozuo mining area provide an important material basis for coal-measure gas accumulation. However, the unclear understanding of the coal-measure gas-bearing system accumulation process hinders the comprehensive exploration and development of coal-measure gas in this area.Based on the geological exploration and test data in the study area, the characteristics of the source rock, reservoir and caprock of the coal-measure gas-bearing system are analyzed, the reservoir combination is divided, and the accumulation process is revealed. The results show that the source rocks in the study area are dominated by coal seams and mudstone, with a high degree of organic matter evolution, and are in the mature-over-mature stage. The kerogen type is mainly type Ⅲ; the reservoirs are mainly coal seams and mudstone, and the average coal seam porosity is 5.43%, the average permeability is 0.32 mD, the average mudstone porosity is 1.48%, and the average permeability is 0.051 mD; the caprock is dominated by coal measure and mudstone of lower Shihezi formation. It belongs to a typical self-generating and self-storing source-storage-cap combination. The reservoir combination types in the study area are divided into 8 types.Among them, the type Ⅲ carbonaceous mudstone-coal-carbonaceous mudstone combination reservoir has higher total hydrocarbon content, rich coal measure gas, and great comprehensive exploration potential.Shanxi formation coal-measure gas reservoirs are formed in two phases, and the main accumulation period occurred in the Middle Jurassic-Late Jurassic.Regional magmatism caused the maturity of source rocks to increase rapidly and a large amount of hydrocarbon gas is generated. The research results have deepened the understanding of coal-measure gas in the Jiaozuo mining area and provided a reference for the comprehensive exploration of coal-measure gas.
