Abstract:
In order to further promote the construction of technical standard system for evaluation of oil and gas reserves in China, this paper systematically reviews the status of the technical standard system. The technical standard system of oil and gas reserves is divided into two categories: national standard and geological industry standards, and the main content and characteristics of each standard are compared and analysed. The national standard stipulates the classification framework of oil and gas reserves in China and is the basis of the technical standard system of oil and gas reserves. Geological industry standards include six reserve estimation specifications and three reserves report compilation specifications, the former is used to guide the estimation of oil and gas reserves in China, and the latter is used to guide the preparation of the report of oil and gas proved reserves in China. This paper points out the shortcomings of the technical standard system for evaluation of oil and gas reserve during the evaluation process, including inadequate understanding of the standards by some enterprise technical personnel and the need for further supplementation and improvement of the standard system, and puts forward suggestions for improvement. Firstly, to strengthen the promotion and technical training of the standard system, and further deepen the understanding of the standard system. Secondly, to develop standards for the recoverable reserve report compilation specification and shale oil reserve estimation, and further improve the reserve evaluation technical standard system. This paper helps to further promote the construction of technical standard system for evaluation of oil and gas reserves in China, and is of great significance for the standardization and specification of China’s oil and gas reserve management.
