Abstract: After president Donald J.Trump took office, he launched a series of new energy policies.The implementation of the policy will certainly promote the development of shale oil and gas in the United States.This will have a profound impact on the global natural gas supply and energy supply and demand pattern.Based on the analysis of the new trend for shale gas industry in the United States under the New Energy Policy and the comparative study of the shale gas industry in China and America, it is concluded that the New Energy Policy is both a resource opportunity and an environmental challenge for the U.S.shale gas industry.Although China’s shale gas development lags behind the United States, its development prospect is considerable.China and America have broad prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in energy.It is suggested that the development of shale gas industry in China should strengthen the research and development of shale gas exploitation technology, implement the established incentive policies and measures, improve the infrastructure construction of pipeline network, and strengthen communication and cooperation with the United States.In order to promote the economic, healthy and green development of shale gas industry in China.
