Abstract: The construction of 10 million tons mine cluster is the current trend of the coal industry development.The construction for the old mining area is faced with many difficulties.Such as the storage of resource, the innovation of concept, technological breakthroughs, management changes and so on.Combined with its own characteristics, Datong coal mine group has innovated and developed the construction mode of three models of 10-million-ton mines with double-system coalfields, fully-equipped coalfields and integrated mines.Based on the study of the three models, Datong coal mine group summarizes the innovation of its construction in the design concept, mining method, technology application and management mode.It is a summary of the construction of 10 million tons mines in Datong coal mine group, meanwhile it can be of great reference to the construction of other 10 million tons of mines.
