Abstract: After the establishment of the Ministry of Land and Resources(MLR), the relevant organizations under MLR have been continuously conducting long term cooperation, and established sound cooperative mechanism with their Australian counterparts.The two parties also achieved important results through policy dialogue, project cooperation, technical communication, training programs and workshops.This article has made research on the cooperation features between the two counties in land and mineral resources management, summarized and reviewed the cooperation results and achievements.In general, from the year of 2007 to 2016, the communications between China and Australia is close, since the senior officials between the two countries have frequent dialogues and discussions.As for the mode of the cooperation, the cooperation in land management area focuses on the training projects and workshops, while the cooperation in mineral resources management sector focusing on the technology innovation, metallogenic theory research, and geo-mapping projects.Both sectors have achieved good results.This article also shaped a future cooperation outlook for the Sino-Australia cooperation in land and resources management area, including enhancing senior dialogue, strengthening the discussion in land registration and utilization, consolidating the cooperation mechanism in mineral resources management and promoting related project cooperation etc.
