Current situation, potential and investment proposal of uranium exploitation and utilization in Russia

Russia is rich in uranium resources and ranks the third in the world in terms of uranium reserves.In terms of resource endowment, the uranium reserves and its resource extent in Russia are highly concentrated, most of uranium is occurred in uranium concentration areas, which are located in Vidim, Elikon and Streltsovka near the boundary of the south of Far East, eastern Siberia and China.On that account, it is beneficial for our country to develop resources and guarantee the safety of resource acquisition.From the perspective of supply and demand, the uranium production of Russia will be increasing in the future.Oversupply of domestic uranium resources forms a natural supply-demand relationship between Russia and China.Taking physical geography, infrastructure and social & economic conditions into account, Russia is of political stability with complete mining laws.There is a good political relationship between China and Russia that the investment in Russian mining can be expected to acquire financing support.Although the infrastructure is in relatively poor condition, the overall investment environment is rather promising.Based on the reasons mentioned above, it is suggested that Chinese enterprises invest in Russian uranium mining by various ways, such as increasing their holdings, signing purchase contracts or obtaining exploration rights of uranium directly.
