    Experimental study on iron removal and desilication from low aluminum-silicon ratio bauxite in Shandong province

    • This paper took a low aluminum-silicon ratio bauxite in Shandong province as the research object.In order to achieve the purpose of iron removal and desilication, adopted a joint process of magnetic separation and flotation to obtain a good technical indicator.Raw ore aluminum-silicon ratio was 3.18.With the grinding fineness is 94.55% -0.074 mm, the process of weak-intensity magnetic separation, high-intensity magnetic separation and flotation was selected.The low magnetic field strength was 1.2×105 A/m and the strong magnetic field strength was 9.6×105 A/m.The dosage of sodium carbonate as the modifier was 3 500 g/t, while sodium hexametaphosphateas the inhibitor was 40 g/t, and sodium oleate as the collector was 1 200 g/t.As a result, the concentrate got a 9.04 ratio of aluminum-silicon.The grade of aluminum was 62.47%, and the recovery was 62.74%.
