Risk assessment of overseas mining investment based on the AHP method

There is a huge risk in mining investment, this paper analyzes some common risk factors in mining investment, and then sets up a risk assessment model of mining projects by the AHP method.Taking the mining investment in Mongolia as an example, this model is used to assess the risk of investment, the evaluation results show that the risk of investment is low in Mongolia, and the proportion of policy risk to total risk is larger in different risk factors.It is suggested that the mineral company correctly assess the risks that they can bear and make scientific decisions.
