Abstract
Based on the study of process mineralogy and PSD of phosphate, it is clear that the classification of the teetered bed separator in phosphate beneficiation largely depends on the particle size which leads to the enrichment of P2O5 and the P2O5 grade increases from 22.81% in feed to 24.44% in underflow. What’s more, the bed density has a certain impact on the classification and the P2O5 grade in 0.710~0.212 mm increases from 27.48% in feed to 29.10% in underflow. The classification effect will be adjusted according to the teetered bed density and level. In case of the level 1.3 m and teetered bed density 1.5 g/cm3, the percentage > 0.212 mm in overflow is 20.28%, the percentage < 0.212 mm and < 0.038 mm in underflow are respectively 6.24% and 1.59%, which is well for classification and hardly influenced by the throughput.
