Development and utilization of models and strategies of mining wasteland in the background of industrial transformation: taking Mentougou district as an example

Mining cities occupy a dominant position in China’s economic development.However, the depletion of mineral resources is becoming the most severe challenge to economic and social development in mining cities.It is an inevitable trend for mining cities to achieve sustainable development that redevelopment and utilization of mining wasteland from the perspective of service industry restructuring.Taking Mentougou district as an example, this paper analyzes the development potential of Mentougou’s transition to Beijing’s “ecological conservation and development zone”, and proposes the exploitation mode and strategy of mining abandoned land under the background of Mentougou industrial restructuring on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the mode of recycling mining abandoned land in mining cities at home and abroad.It provides a reference for the development and utilization of urban mining abandoned land.
