Reflections on the construction of Resource Corridor under the Belt and Road Initiative

As the Belt and Road Initiative smoothly succeeds, Chinese oversea mining investment faces many challenges and opportunities.Resource Corridor development model is a sustainable and high quality model for resource industry.Using resource development project as an anchor project, the linking and spillover effect will push the whole industry chain and multiple sectors to develop, and improve infrastructure and social governance capability.It highly fits the Belt and Road Initiative, and has necessity and feasibility to implement.In this paper, applying development economy and regional geography theory, the author summarizes the basic framework and main theories of Resource Corrdior.Combined with Chinese oversea mining practice, the author points out potential cooperation area for Resource Corridor, and gives concrete cooperation strategies for the countries, enterprises and capitals.
