    Discussion on the development of geoscience popularization based on geological data

    • During the long-term geological work in China, we have formed massive geological data.Geological data not only represent human's exploration and cognition of the planet earth, but also the crystallization of the main achievements of geological work.They contain rich geoscience information and knowledge, which are very important basic information resources.They can provide the basis and foundation for national economic development and further geological work, scientific research and popular science.Under the new situation that our country vigorously promotes the popular science, we should energetically make full use of information technology such as big data, intelligent mining, cloud computing, mobile interconnection and so on, to make more scientific and efficient use of geological data, and enhance the development of popular science products, so as to promote geoscience popularization and deepen social service.These not only help the public to better know and understand the living earth we depend on, but also are of great significance to the rational development, utilization and protection of the earth's resources and environment.
