Mines often use the analogy method based on the experience to determine the required filling body strength of upward drift stoping and filling method, which is too subjective and arbitrary, and also ignores many factors.In order to determine the filling body strength of upward drift stoping and filling method more scientifically and reasonably, the paper determines the filling body strength of Xiaoguanzhuang iron mine based on the mechanical role of filling body playing and the influence of the blasting stress wave.Considering the fact that filling body of upward drift stoping and filling method should take mechanical roles as independent artificial prop and supporting the roof broken-rock pressure, and the influence of blasting pressure wave, the model-based methods of self-support strength, theory of distensible pressure arch and ANSYS/LS-DYNA explicit dynamics software simulation were used to get the strength respectively.Then the required strength of the filling body was determined.The process of determining the required strength of the filling body in upward drift stoping and filling method provided a more scientific and reasonable reference to similar mines in determining the filling strength.
