The mining pressure management and research of fully-mechanized top coal caving under ultra-close goaf in thick seams

The strong mining pressure behavior is observed in thick seam fully-mechanized caving face under ultra-close goaf in Tashan coal mine.In the work, the methods of reducing the width of the coal pillars, increasing the working resistance of the support, optimizing the advanced support method, and fracturing the roof with hydraulic power are combined used to weaken the strong mining pressure of surrounding rock.The engineering practices show that the combined methods can controll the deformation of surrounding rocks effectively and ensure safety mining.
