Experience and implication of exploration rights exit management: a case study of Western Australia

As one of the most potential areas for mining investment in Australia, Western Australia has a mature approach to strictly regulate exit management of exploration rights.Through the analysis of the registration management system and licence system of exploration rights, exit rules and exit methods of exploration rights, it is believed that some practices have effectively maintained the order of mineral exploration and improved the efficiency of exploration investment, including exit management of exploration rights is an important part of the mining act, strictly regulate surrender of part of block or blocks, and raise the exploration rights holding cost by different stages, and exit management of exploration rights linked to statutory obligations performed of exploration rights holders, and emphasis on the whole process supervision after exploration license granted, delicacy management of exploration rights information.In the course of the reform of China's mineral resources management system, we hope to inspire the deepening of the supervision of the exploration rights.
