Abstract
In order to further improve the practical performance of the temperature compensation-based hollow inclusion strain cell monitoring system, and to test its application effectiveness in the long-term monitoring of slope engineering, a stress monitoring system was installed in the open pit of the Nanshan mine in Maanshan city, eastern Anhui province in April 2017.During the monitoring for about 40 days, the stress changes monitored by the monitoring system were still stable due to the disturbance of climatic conditions such as local rainwater and the dumping of the top of the mine slope. From the temperature channel, the temperature data of the day is fluctuating but the temperature of the stress meter is rising. After the temperature compensation of each channel, the axial stress does not change too much, and the hoop stress changes about 1.09 MPa to 2.53 MPa.At the end of October 2018, the monitoring system was re-measured at the measuring point last year, and we obtained the hoop stress about 4.52 MPa to 8.11 MPa and the axial stress of 10.40 MPa to 11.55 MPa which are consistent with the construction situation and the expected range of theoretical values. The transmission mode adopted by the system for long-term unattended monitoring is to convert and transmit wireless signals through wireless digital radio stations. This transmission system can meet the transmission of medium and long distance signals and we can read and store data at the base station.
