    Review on the phase changes and characteristics in metallurgical reduction process of lead-zinc minerals

    • Lead and zinc are important non-ferrous metals.However, lead and zinc are harmful impurities in ironmaking process which seriously affect the production of blast furnace.This paper introduces the output and occurrence state of lead-zinc minerals.The technological status and the main reactions with characteristics of lead-zinc minerals in metallurgical reduction process are briefly described and summarized.The transformation and phase changes of lead-zinc minerals during ironmaking process are specially analyzed.The advanced technology of controlling lead and zinc in iron-containing raw materials is tracked.The results show that the content of lead and zinc in iron-containing raw materials is significantly reduced and the economic benefit is good, which is worth popularizing.
