Current situation, challenges and prospects for the mining industry of South Africa

South Africa is a major mining country in the world, has an important influence in the world market of the mineral products.In this paper, the current development status of the mining industry of South Africa and its issues and challenges are analyzed and discussed, and future development prospect is analyzed.Compared with other countries, South African mining industry still has a series of comparative advantages and a good potential for development.The author predicts that so long as the challenges are transformed into dynamics and various strategic plans and innovative policies are well implemented, the mining industry of South Africa can still have bright prospects.
