    Excavation and support technology of soft and fractured surrounding rock roadway in north area of Xishimen iron mine

    • During the mining of the north area of Xishimen iron mine, it is necessary to excavate the roadway in the soft, loose and fractured surrounding rock such as altered diorite and skarn.During the excavation of these roadways, problems such as floor depression, poor operation of equipment, working face falling and difficult opening of the roadway often occur.For such surrounding rock, after long-term production practices, Xishimen iron mine has formed a set of practical and feasible excavation technique.This paper summarizes and improves the excavation and support technology of the soft and fractured surrounding rock in the north area of Xishimen iron mine from the aspects of equipment, roadway section determination, excavation blasting, support method, construction and construction organization.
