Analysis of structural changes of prospecting rights of important metal minerals in China: taking copper, lead and zinc, gold and iron as examples

By comparing the information data of copper, lead and zinc, gold and iron ore prospecting rights in 2009 and 2019, this paper analyzes the structural change characteristics of important metal mineral prospecting rights in China from different perspectives.The results show that the number and area of effective prospecting rights for copper, lead and zinc, gold and iron ore in China have all decreased by more than 60%.The total proportion of prospecting rights in detailed investigation stage and in exploration stage has exceeded two-thirds.The average duration of prospecting rights extends to 11 years.Based on the structural change characteristics of prospecting rights of important metal minerals, this paper puts forward suggestions on the optimization of the management policy of mineral in the next step.
