Abstract
Africa is a key region for optimizing the allocation of global energy resources, and its international status and influence are also on the rise.As the global economy weakens, two-way trade, direct investment and aid between Africa and developed economies, represented by the United States and Europe, have all been sharply curtailed.Meanwhile, international mining companies are also scaling back investments and divesting some assets in African. With the continuous upgrading of China-Africa cooperation in the field of political economy and trade, China’s investment in Africa’s mining industry has also continued to increase, and the equity of production is increasing too.The paper considers that China’s investment in Africa’s mining industry should take a free ride on the development of China-Africa cooperative relations, and seize the strategic opportunity of western withdrawal, so that it ensures the security of China’s energy resources. However, it is necessary to be alert to policy changes in investment countries and risks in the mining market.
