Abstract
Low production capacity and long leaching life are very common characteristics in ISL mines due to low permeability of sandstone-type uranium deposits in China.During the in-situ leaching field test, the flowrate of some injection wells decrease rapidly, which adversely affect the operation. In order to solve the problems, plugging removal process with diluted hydrochloric acid is adopted because of its many advantages.During the laboratory experiment, it is shown that the core sample specific permeability increases by 128% after it is treated with 2 g/L hydrochloric acid. The application of this process has achieved good effect and the flowrate of injection wells increase by from 55% to 117%.
