Practice and thinking of peer review of geoscientific data

Scientific data publishing has gradually become an important academic communication method for data-intensive scientific discoveries.The control of data publication quality is mainly ensured by peer review methods.However, there is no unified standard for data quality control in various subject areas, and there is no consensus on the peer review model.In order to further improve the peer review process of geoscientific data and promote the development of data publication in China, this paper summarizes the peer review model used in the publication of data papers worldwide, combined with the practical experience accumulated in the geoscientific data publishing, as the thoughts on the peer review work of the future data publishing.
