    Global geological and mineral information network: design, implementation and application

    • Mineral resources are an important material basis for human life and survival, with limited reserves and non-renewable.The global mineral resources are rich in minerals and unevenly distributed.In the context of economic globalization, international collaborative resource allocation is needed to meet the needs of national development.In order to improve the global geological and mineral information sharing service system and provide information services for “going global” enterprises, a global geological and mineral information network was constructed based on WebGIS.This paper analyzes the current global geological and mineral information platform or system construction status and existing problems, expounding our system advantages, design principles, key technologies, overall design architecture, main functional modules and current applications.The system issues dynamic and time-sensitive mining information, overseas survey data resources and achievement products, providing authoritative, real-time and rich basic information and comprehensive research products for both the country and the enterprise to promote the sharing of overseas geological survey information.
