Experimental study on comprehensive recovery of barite from the gold tailings

A gold tailings contains 29.20% barite, in order to realize the comprehensive recycling and utilization of resources, on the basis of process mineralogy research, through preliminary comparison of gravity and flotation technologies, the flotation process is determined.Using sodium carbonate, sodium silicate and sodium hexametaphosphate as adjusting agent, BK409G as collector, through two roughing, four cleanings,good indicators are obtained, the BaSO₄ grade of barite concentrate is 91.14% and the recovery rate is 85.84%.
