Perspective on the security of nickel rsesources supply in China

Nickel is not only a strategic mineral, but also a shortage mineral in China.National mineral resources planning(2016-2020) proposes to establish a strategic mineral monitoring and early warning mechanism and systematically analyze the supply and demand of mineral products and resource situation domestic and abroad.Based on the data of the past ten years, this paper expounds the resource distribution, reserves, development and utilization, consumption, domestic and foreign supply and demand patterns of nickel.This paper puts forward some suggestions, such as increasing the utilization of domestic reserves, improving the research and development of mining technology, strengthening the export of technology, reducing the concentration of import, etc., to provide references for ensuring the security of nickel resource supply in China.
