    The current status and future outlook of high-tech minerals in waste mobile phones

    • High-tech minerals are key raw materials in national strategic emerging industries, and they are associated with waste mobile phones closely.Besides, the availability of high-tech minerals has a close relationship of their host minerals and the resource exploitation reliance on the companion minerals.With rapid economic development, China became the world's largest mobile phone-producing and phone-consuming country, and correspondingly, it has generated excessive waste annually.Therefore, it is imperative to research on the current status and future outlook of high-tech minerals in waste mobile phones.This paper firstly analyzes the high-tech minerals gap between the differentiation of feature phones and smartphones from the perspective of concepts and characteristics.Then it analyzes the current status of high-tech minerals in waste mobile phones, it further points out the generation of high-tech minerals in waste mobile phones, the recycling mode of high-tech minerals in waste mobile phones and the major influencing factors of high-tech minerals in waste mobile phones.Finally, future development outlooks, from the perspective of government, enterprise and individual, are prompted and recommended.
