Abstract
In view of the influence of embedded non-consecutive joints on the mechanical properties of rock mass, the solid model of sinusoidal joints is established by using digital modeling and 3D printing technology.Complete rock-like specimens, rock-like specimens with single joints and rock-like specimens with double joints are prepared. The angles of single joints are 30°, 45° and 60° respectively. The angles of double joints are 30°, 45°; 30°, 60°; and 45°, 60° respectively.Uniaxial compression tests are carried out on all kinds of specimens. The results show that the uniaxial compressive strength of rock-like specimens with joints is lower than that of complete rock-like specimens, and with the increase of the number of joints in the specimens, the decrease of uniaxial compressive strength of specimen increases. The failure modes of rock specimens with single joints are all along the plane where the joints are located, and the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen increases with the increase of the joint angle due to the joint plane dissection degree and the normal stress on the joint plane. The cracks in the destroyed specimens with double joints develop and penetrate are in a high degree. Therefore, the specimens after failure are very fragmented and have little residual strength.
