    Visualization of ore grade data in boreholes based on factor analysis and RGB color mixture

    • Data visualization is an important research content in geological big data research.Ore grade data is a common data in boreholes.Traditionally, ore grade data in boreholes is presented in the form of tables.This data expression is not intuitive enough to visualize grade data comprehensively.In this paper, a visualization method of ore grade data based on factor analysis and RGB color mixture is proposed.Firstly, regression analysis is used to complete the missing values of ore grade, then factor analysis is used to reduce the high-dimensional grade data to a lower dimension that can be perceived by human eyes, and each low-dimensional variable is expressed as three primary RGB colors respectively, and color mixture is carried out, thus realizing the visualization of high-dimensional grade data.Taking Wuliping Pb-Zn polymetallic deposit in northwestern Guizhou as a case study, to test the application performance of the visualization method proposed in this paper.The results show that the method can visually present high-dimensional ore grade data and the spatial change trend, and the ore grade distribution regulations in boreholes can be presented more intuitively from the grade visualization results, which has important practical value for studying the ore grade of ore deposits.
