Study on spatial temporal pattern and evolution characteristics of international chromite trade from the perspective of complex network

As one of the scarcest strategic mineral resources in China, chromite is of great strategic significance.In order to ensure the supply security of chromite in each trading country, this paper studies the temporal and spatial characteristics of chromite international trade to explore the supply relationship of chromite international trade.Based on the complex network theory, using the international trade data of chromite from 2009 to 2018, this paper constructs a directed weighted network model, and analyzes the overall characteristics of the complex network, the power-law distribution characteristics of degree value of node countries, the identification of trade core countries and their roles in the international trade network, in order to obtain the spatial-temporal pattern and evolution characteristics of chromite international trade.The results show that the chromite trade is developing in the trend of economic globalization, but the trade share is still concentrated in a few countries.The chromite trade is controlled and conducted by a few countries, which is always at the core of the trade.China and South Africa bear the most core position in the global chromite trade, in which China is the main importer of chromite trade, and South Africa is the main exporter.
