Study on comprehensive utilization benefit evaluation of iron ore tailings: a case study of Panxi iron mine

    • Comprehensive utilization of iron tailings is an important part of mine environmental restoration and sustainable development. In order to maximize the comprehensive utilization benefit of iron tailings, the comprehensive utilization benefit of iron tailings is evaluated.Based on analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and fuzzy mathematical model, the evaluation index system of comprehensive utilization of iron tailings is established by combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The authors select the economic, social and ecological environment benefits for three first-level indicators, three first-level indicators include potential resource value, comprehensive utilization efficiency, return on investment, the output value of tailings utilization direction, the industry policy situation, increase employment and revenue contribution amount, mine environment improvement, reduce the area of water and soil pollution, the reduction of the tailings safety hidden trouble and degree of secondary pollution, establish a system of iron tailings comprehensive utilization benefit evaluation system.Based on benefit evaluation model of the building, a mining iron tailings in Panxi comprehensive utilization benefit level is medium level(Ⅲ), membership degree is 0.56; economic and social benefits for the medium(Ⅲ), membership degree is 0.75 and 0.60 respectively, level of environmental benefits for the poor(Ⅱ), the membership degree of 0.58.It is a reasonable and scientific basis for the comprehensive utilization of tailings to improve the mine environment and sustainable development.
