Abstract
Horizontal well with multistage hydraulic fracturing has been frequently used in the unconventional oil/gas reservoirs.Analytical models to solve the horizontal well with multistage fractures can help engineers quickly obtain the productivity of the well and lay the foundation to formulate the development strategy. In this paper, the commonly used analytical models including Lang model, Fan model as well as Miao and Wang model are selected to compare with the numerical simulation results by commercial software. To evaluate the adaptability and accuracy of these three analytical models, the comparison parameters involve hydraulic fractures, reservoir properties and horizontal well. The results show that the differences of the prediction results by the three models is mainly ascribed to the treatment of the fluid flow process through matrix and fractures to horizontal well.In fitting the reservoir properties, these three models have both their advantages and disadvantages.Fan model performs better in fitting the parameters of horizontal well and fractures. This paper provides the guidance for the selection of analytical model to predict the productivity of multistage horizontal well in unconventional reservoirs.
