Abstract
Crystalline graphite is a strategic mineral resource and plays an important role in promoting the development of high-tech industries. In order to study the evolution characteristics of the international trade network of crystalline graphite, this paper uses the complex network theory to construct a directed weighted complex network for the international trade of crystalline graphite from 2009 to 2018, and study the overall distribution and hierarchical characteristics of the network. The hub and core countries in the international trade of crystalline graphite are analyzed.Research data show that the scale of international trade in crystal graphite products is expanding, the trade share is gradually occupied by more and more countries, and the trade market is gradually becoming global. However, a few countries still occupy the core position of trade.Among them, the countries in the trade hub position are South Africa and the United States, which have strong control over the import and export trade of crystalline graphite products.Suggestions are as follows:participating countries in the trade of crystalline graphite products can adjust their share of trade appropriately by observing trends in the trade of crystalline graphite products in South Africa and the United States. It is suggested that China should establish more export trade links with countries with insufficient graphite resources or large demand, and import trade links with countries with large export volume, so as to build a diversified graphite trade pattern and reduce the risk of graphite supply. The government should actively advocate the development, research and production of high value-added graphite products, support graphite enterprises to establish graphite resource industrial parks, transform China’s crystalline graphite resource advantages into economic advantages, and further improve the competitiveness and influence of China’s graphite products in international trade.
