3D modeling and application of mine geological environment based on UAV and Photoscan software

    • With the implementation and practice of the “Two Mountains” theory, the prevention and control of mine geological environment is becoming more and more important. The application of 3D modeling technology for drones has a very important role in promoting the prevention and control of mine geological environment. In this paper, a small quadrotor UAV and Photoscan software are used to establish a 3D model. The 1 km2 area of Ningdong energy chemical base Yangchangwan coal mine is used as the research area. The gangue storage yard and ground subsidence which mine geological environment issues are qualitatively and quantitatively studied.Based on the constructed 3D model, the volume and area of the coal gangue storage yard, the ground crack length, strike and width, the ground subsidence area and the maximum subsidence value are calculated. The relative error of the measured length is less than 0.5%, and the relative error of the area is less than 1%.Compared with traditional surveying and other modeling techniques, this method has the advantages of low cost and convenience. It provides new methods for the survey and evaluation of mine geological environment, and enriches and develops the technical methods of mine geological survey.
