Abstract
In order to find out the ore properties of the oxidized copper ore in Yulong No.2 orebody, Tibet, the main chemical composition, mineral species, mineral content and distribution characteristics of copper minerals in the ore area are found out by means of chemical multi-element analysis, phase analysis, observation under optical microscope and energy spectrum analysis under scanning electron microscope particle size distribution and occurrence of copper. The results show that the grade of copper in oxidized copper ore of Yulong No.2 orebody in Tibet is 4.43%, the degree of oxidation is high, and the oxidized copper accounts for 64.33% of the total copper ore.The most abundant components in the ore are SiO2, Al2O3 and Fe.There are various kinds of copper minerals with complex occurrence state.Copper mainly occurs in chalcocite and malachite, followed by limonite and hematite.A small amount of copper exists in the form of chalcopyrite, chalcocite, copper blue, chalcocite and other copper minerals. The ore in this mining area is characterized by high degree of copper oxidation, complex occurrence, high content of limonite and large amount of kaolinite. It is a complex and refractory high argillaceous high iron oxide copper ore.
