Abstract
In order to study the oil and gas source of permian Lucaogou formation in Bogda piedmont belt in the southern margin of Junggar basin and analyze the oil and gas exploration potential of Bogda Piedmont belt, collecting the source rocks, natural gas and crude oil samples of XJC1 well and BC1 well, for Bogda piedmont belt in the southern margin of Junggar basin and the source rocks and crude oil samples of each series of main oil and gas fields in the adjacent area, and using carbon isotope and biomarker compound technology, the geochemical characteristics and sources of oil and gas in the study area are analyzed. The results show that the saturated hydrocarbon composition of the crude oil in the study area is similar to that of the Permian Lucaogou formation source rock, and has good affinity. At the same time, the biomarker indexes are significantly different from the Jurassic, permian and carboniferous source rocks and crude oil in the adjacent area.It is comprehensively considered that the study area develops self generating and self storing oil and gas reservoirs, and the oil source comes from the Lucaogou formation of permian, which has great exploration potential.
