Abstract
There is 0.83% copper and 24.04% iron in an iron-dressing tailings from Peru, accompanied by certain amount of gold and silver, which has high comprehensive recovery value. The sulfur in the desulfurization foam contained in the tailings is activated, the influence of secondary copper ions in copper minerals on sulfur and the interference of various ions in seawater on copper flotation make the recovery of iron tailings have a certain difficulty. In view of the above problems, on the basis of ore process mineralogy research, through process flow exploration, the new process of preferential copper separation-coarse concentrate regrinding-iron separation from tailings-iron concentrate reverse flotation desulphurization is finally adopted. The closed circuit process test obtained the copper concentrate grade of 26.15%, copper recovery of 83.33%, gold content of copper concentrate of 2.14 g/t.The gold recovery is 44.34%, containing silver 107.50 g/t, and silver recovery is 63.33%.The iron concentrate has a good grade of 68.32% and an iron yield of 5.40%, the iron recovery of 15.61% and the content of S is 0.19%.The recovery index of the new process is good, and the comprehensive utilization of secondary resources is realized.
