PAM as an additive in the field of mineral processing, has different uses in different process links.This paper introduces the application and research status of PAM in the field of mineral processing as concentrated flocculant, selective flocculant, filter aid and other agents.It is found that different types of PAM have different application characteristics.Therefore, reagent mixing technology, PAM modification technology, modified PAM + reagent mixing technology and PAM degradation technology are proposed.At the same time, the research status and related research methods of PAM action mechanism are summarized.The new detection means will constantly improve the action mechanism of PAM.The corresponding strategies are given for the problems prone to occur in the use of PAM.Efficient reagent configuration, automatic addition technology and correct dosing sequence are all effective means for the fine use of PAM.By summarizing and combing the various applications and strategies of PAM in the field of mineral processing, it is not only of great significance to the research direction of PAM, but also plays a positive role in promoting the development of mineral processing technology.
