Analysis of research hotspots and trends in ecological restoration and reuse of China’s mining wastelands in the past 30 years

    • With the development of society and economy and the advancement of industrialization, mining has brought huge economic benefits, while many unusable mining wastelands are left. How to restore and reuse them has become a research hotspot of scholars.A total of 4 448 papers on ecological restoration and reuse of China’s mining wastelands in the past 30 years are sorted out based on CiteSpace measurement analysis software. It is divided into three stages:the initial stage of development (1990-2000), the middle stage of development (2001-2010), and the later stage of development (2011-2020).Based on high-frequency keywords in different periods, the research hotspots in the field of ecological restoration and reuse of mining wastelands in China in the past 30 years are preliminarily grasped, mainly around land reclamation, ecological restoration, mine park, ecological compensation and so on.Realizing the transition from natural ecological perspective to ecological economic goals, from single land reclamation to systematic ecological restoration, from traditional restoration methods to high-tech applications, and review the transition from single-dimensional to multi-dimensional research content. In the follow-up research, it is necessary to focus on strengthening theoretical system research, multi-disciplinary integration and intersection, comprehensive benefit evaluation, public perception participation, etc., to promote the theoretical and practical research on ecological restoration and reuse of mining wasteland to gradually achieve the harmonious unity of “people” and “land” development goals.
