Abstract
The maximum burial depth of the ore body in Ashele Copper Mine is more than 1 100 m, and the mining depth is about to reach 1 000 m.With the continuous increase of mining depth, the frequency and intensity of ground stress appearance have increased significantly, and the problem associated with ground stress further restricts the safety and efficiency of mining. In order to evaluate the stress state in the rock mass underground, the ground stress in -100 m and -50 m elevation are measured using the borehole stress relief method. The results show that the ground stresses are mainly horizontal stresses, the maximum main stress is in the south-west direction, and the lateral pressure coefficient is about 1.5.The horizontal stress and vertical stress increased with depth, and for every 100 m increase in depth, the vertical stress increased by 2.38 MPa, and the maximum horizontal stress increased by about 1.8-3.5 MPa.When the mining depth is 1 100 m, the maximum ground stress would reach 43.07 MPa.The ground stress measurement data in this paper can provide reference for the mine to control the ground pressure effectively and carry out the support design reasonably.
