    Research status and application of grinding kinetics

    • The grinding kinetics is a mathematical model that describes the relationship between the grinding rate of the material being ground and the grinding time.It plays an important role in analyzing the size and energy changes of the material in the grinding process.In order to give full play to the role of grinding kinetics in the grinding process, based on the current research status at home and abroad, the m-order grinding kinetics model and the population balance model are systematically introduced.The meaning of each parameter in the model is analyzed.Focusing on the population balance model, the solution methods of crushing rate function and crushing distribution function are analyzed, including zero-order output rate method, Ole theory simple algorithm, Kapoor’s G-H algorithm and empirical formula method, etc.The application status of the grinding kinetics model in the field of mineral processing engineering is pointed out and its future research direction is put forward.The studies have shown that grinding kinetics has a wide range of important applications in the field of mineral processing, and provides a theoretical basis for further improving the grinding process.
