As a hazardous waste generated from shale gas exploitation, oil-based cuttings have not formed a unified understanding of the disposal and resource utilization scheme of oil-based cuttings. To build a comprehensive comparison and selection system suitable for shale gas oil-based cuttings disposal and resource utilization scheme, and to provide reference for the selection of actual production scheme. This paper comprehensively considers the environmental safety, technical feasibility and economic performance, constructs the scheme comparison and evaluation system, selects 3 primary indicators and 13 secondary indicators, and uses the analytic hierarchy process to determine the index weight. The grey correlation analysis method is used to rank two deoiling disposal schemes and five residue resource utilization schemes of Chongqing City shale gas field, and the optimal scheme is selected. The results of data analysis show that the better scheme of oil-based cuttings deoiling disposal is thermal analysis and centrifugal separation, the best scheme of residue resource utilization is cement kiln collaborative disposal, followed by brick making, and the worst scheme is concrete making. The results of this paper are consistent with the actual situation of enterprises in Chongqing City, which show the effectiveness of this method and can provide a basis for the selection of enterprise schemes.
