Due to continuous quarrying activities, the mining geological environment and land damage in the Cuoeshan area in the north of Weihe River have seriously affected the peripheral landscape of Xi'an metropolitan area.In the past, most of the treatment projects focused on the flat sites such as the pit floor and the industrial square, and vegetation restoration is carried out on the basis of the original topography. The damaged landscape has not been fundamentally improved, and the abandoned mining land has not been fully reclaimed. This study is based on the ecological restoration design project of the abandoned mining pits of Cuoeshan CK1 and CK2, and proposes a comprehensive treatment plan for landform reconstruction, reclamation and utilization of abandoned land through bench type renovation. The research results have realized the development type management of abandoned quarrying mines. The surplus stone produced by the restoration project is auctioned to recover funds through the government public trading platform according to relevant regulations, forming a closed-loop restoration mode of "repair-utilization-recovery" for abandoned quarrying mines, aiming to provide reference for the ecological restoration of many abandoned quarrying mines in the "drought belt" of Weibei.
