    Application of typical emerging frontier technologies in mining industry under the background of digital transformation

    • Digital transformation is of great significance to the high-quality and sustainable development of mining industry, and it is expected to make unprecedented changes in the technological development and production and operation mode of mining enterprises.This paper focuses on 4 topics including the application of artificial intelligence in mineral exploration data processing, unmanned transportation system in open-pit mines, autonomous loading-transportation-unloading system in underground mines, and 5G communication technology in mines.It analyzes the demands, status and challenges of mining industry.It also prospected the development of cutting-edge technologies in the digital transformation of mining industry in the post COVID-19 era.This paper expounds the positive influence of digital transformation on the production capacity, profitability, efficiency, security and emergency response of enterprises, which is mainly embodied in the following four aspects:advanced sensors, processing of high-quality data, construction of digital communication network, automation of production and operation.The analysis has certain reference value for further promoting the digital construction of mines in China.
