    Geological survey and evaluation of ML121 exploration area in Namibia and estimation of uranium resources

    • In order to implement the "going out" strategy, and to search for high-quality minerals overseas, the geological survey, the gamma ray spectrometry and the core observation have been carried out in ML121 exploration area.The 44 boreholes data, including the basic coordinate information, logging data, lithology data are obtained.The estimation of uranium resources is conducted based on the JORC 2012.The drillholes database is created and the ore-bodies 3D models are built by the Micromine software.The uranium grades are interpolated with IDW method based on the four block models.The shape and scale of the grade distribution are displayed clearly in three-dimensional space.The mineralization grade has good continuity in the northeast strike and extends up to 50 m along the dip at the southwest of the ML121 exploration area.The inferred uranium resources of ML121 exploration area are 20 000 t U3O8, with the average grade 283 ppm.The exploration level of ML121 exploration area is closed to the transition stage from general survey to detailed survey in China, and the reliability of the deep resources needs to be further identified by drilling project.
