In view of the difficult problem of the general evaluation of the feasibility of in-situ leaching in the reconnaissance stage of sandstone type uranium deposit, this paper starts from the basic concepts of sandstone type uranium deposit and in-situ leaching uranium mining, summarizes the practice and experience of the global in-situ leaching uranium mining technology, and believes that the general research of the feasibility of in-situ leaching in the reconnaissance stage should focus on the exploration and evaluation of the ore deposit conditions, and divides the deposit conditions related to the in-situ leaching mining of sandstone type uranium deposit into geological conditions hydrogeological conditions and leaching process conditions. It is proposed that the permeability of the deposit and the leachability of the ore are the core indicators determining whether the deposit can be in-situ leached.Among them, the permeability of the ore deposit is a prerequisite for affecting the in-situ leaching mining of sandstone type uranium deposit, which determines whether the technology is feasible for in-situ leaching mining. The leachability of the ore is a basic condition affecting the in-situ leaching mining of sandstone type uranium deposit, which determines whether the mineral recovery rate can reach a certain target and affects the economy of the project. The research results show that it is of great significance to carry out the permeability and leachability evaluation of sandstone type uranium deposit, and to propose the procedures, methods and key technical reference evaluation indicators for the general evaluation of the feasibility of in-situ leaching in the reconnaissance stage.
