After more than 20 years of development, China’s mining intermediary organizations have initially formed their own system. However, with the development of the mining market and the changes of the new situation, the original definitions and classifications show certain limitations. Therefore, an in-depth analysis of their definitions, classifications, characteristics and existing problems will help to have a correct understanding of the current mining intermediary organizations. This paper redefines mining intermediary organizations, divides them into three categories:impartiality, agency and information technology service, and analyzes the independence, objectivity, impartiality and professionalism of mining intermediary organizations. The analysis shows that in recent years, the form and types of China’s mining intermediary organizations have changed significantly, and there are old problems such as the imperfect intermediary service system of multi-level participation and supervision, low credibility, insufficient authority, and high entry threshold. At the same time, new problems such as the obvious decline in the influence of industry association intermediary organizations are also emerging.Based on this, it is proposed that China urgently needs to establish a multi-level mining intermediary organization service system with the participation of the government, associations, units and individuals from the aspects of system construction, integrity, technology, service and qualification, improve the relevant rules and regulations, norms and self-discipline documents, give full play to the role of industry associations in optimizing the allocation of resources, establish the core concept of “technical text, integrity, service-oriented”, and establish post event supervision punishment system and other countermeasures and suggestions, in order to promote the healthy development of mining intermediary organizations in China.
