Stability evaluation of an open-pit slope based on Morgenstern-Price method

The stability of an open pit slope has always been an important subject for the economy and safety of open-pit mining. Taking the slope of an open-pit mine in China as an example, Morgenstern-Price method, which is commonly used in limit equilibrium theory, is used to analyze the stability and calculate the safety factor of the open-pit slope under three different working conditions with the help of slope / W module in Geo-Slope software. Finally, the stability of the open-pit slope is evaluated by comparing the relevant codes and standards. It is considered that the slope is stable, that is, the selected slope angle is reasonable.
